The breakfast options cater to all tastes, including fresh fruit like bananas. The location of the property is fantastic, being near the shopping area, a public restaurant, and the river.

Thank you for a comfortable stay by one night. The room is great little and reasonably sized with nice view, also they can offer wake-up service. The location is amazing and particularly good, to much cosier local restaurants. Plus, this hotel is short walk to river, the shopping area and the town centre.

I had a great and comfortable one-night stay in a lovely location, close to the town center, a pub/restaurant, and an Italian restaurant.

Traditional English Hotel. Clean and welcoming.

Polite helpful staff. Welcoming. A room with lovely views over town, the River Wye and to distant hills and countryside. Interesting and beautiful scenery and locality. The food on offer provided many options and what was sampled was just to our liking. Lots of hot water and cosy. Great value.

Ross has seen better days. The room decor was a little tired but still held a sense of jaded elegance.

Had a fabulous time at the Royal, celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Staff could not do enough for us.

The hotel is very well located, large, clean bedroom with lovely views over River Wye. Restaurant was good value for money.

With room on second floor, the stairs could be a problem for some people.

Room was small but nice. It was clean and the bed comfortable. The water pressure slightly weak but the water warm. So clean room, good mattress and warm water - everything you need. Breakfast was delicious and staff very nice. Also the restaurant in the evening delivered a very good meal.

Water pressure - but is also an old building

The room was a nice size and well-equipped with a comfortable bed. The hotel was located in a central area next to the town center, restaurant and bar, and shopping area. , it was only 1 km from a 12th-century Norman castle.
